The three chiefs who were arrested in Lakes state two weeks ago have been given 7 days to reveal the identity of youths accused of killing in their areas.

Lakes state authorities released the chiefs on a temporary basis in order for them to find and report those responsible for the killing of a student in Rumbek Central.

“The chiefs were released after the relatives appealed to the state government to allow them to look for the culprits,” said caretaker Governor, Matur Chut.

Caretaker Matur Chut, said if the chiefs fail to find those responsible in the time given, the government will decide on the next course of action.
