One dies of cholera in Bor

One person has died in a cholera outbreak in Bor town, Jonglei authorities have said. 20 cases of the epidemic, mostly children, have also been recorded over the last two days.

“Most of them [patients] are children below 10 years,” Eye Radio’s Stringer Achiek Jok reported from Bor.

“The acting director in the state ministry of health Nathaniel Deng Lek says the public health response team have been sent for an awareness campaign.”

In Juba, the outbreak has killed 28 people, and about 430 people are affected, according to UNICEF.
