Health authorities in Central Equatoria State say vaccinators have been trained to conduct polio campaigns in UN camps in Juba in the next three days.

The Director of Immunization at the Ministry of Health, George Auzanio, says a local organization has been authorized to vaccinate children in the IDP camps in Tomping and Jebel.

“We trained them then after that we gave them vaccine, like now in those two camps the one of Tomping and Juba. We have teams working there; we assign organization called “Magana” working inside those camps to take vaccine to those health personnel.” He said.

Auzanio said the four-day immunization campaign covers all the six counties in the state.
