The Minister of Information in Eastern Equatoria State says at least two people were killed in clashes between the civilians and SPLA soldiers in Ikotos County.

Mark Akio says civilians in the area attacked the army barrack yesterday, accusing the soldiers of killing a business man.

Eye Radio is yet to speak to some of the civilians.

Mr Arkio told Eye Radio the State Government has formed a committee to investigate the incident.

“Right now the situation is normal and the state Government is dispatching the committee to establish the reasons that really cause that misunderstanding,” Mr Arkio said.

Mr. Akio urged the people of Eastern Equatoria not to take the law into their hands.
