MPs in the Warrap State assembly have summoned the minister of finance over what they consider irregularities in the execution of the annual budget.

Today, the MPs unanimously voted for the motion raised by the chairman of the committee of Finance and Economy, Tong Majok Deng.

Hon Majok said the minister should explain the progress of the state pension scheme.

He said the minister should also explain how some three million US dollars allocated to the state by the Central Bank as letters of credit, has been used.

Hon Majok said the spending of an education grant of more than 300,000 pounds and a health grant of nearly 2 million should also be explained.
