Authorities in Twic East County in Jonglei state have started a campaign to raise awareness on Cholera.
Cases of the epidemic have now been reported in two towns since the outbreak started in Juba last month.
UNICEF says 29 people have already died of the disease in Juba. In Bor, the capital of Jonglei State, one person died and 28 cases were recorded as of Friday.
And over the last one week, 21 cases were identified in Kajo-Keji County in Central Equatoria State.
Twic East County Commissioner, Dau Akoi says the cholera campaign will involve clean-up of the town and market areas.
“Public places like restaurants should be very clean because these are places that cholera can occur,” Mr Akoi said.
Mr. Akoi says a team will also be sent to public areas to educate people on the importance of cleanliness.
