SPLA Chief of Staff Office denies threats of chaos

Author : | Published: Wednesday, February 10, 2016

The SPLA has rejected allegations that Chief of General Staff Paul Malong Awan has threatened to cause chaos if removed from his position.

On Tuesday, Sudan Tribune website reported General Malong as saying that he would fight President Salva Kiir if sacked.

In a statement seen by Eye Radio, the SPLA Headquarters described the media report as a ‘mere fabrication made by Sudan Tribune and those who supply the web page with malignant news’.

It added that the story was published ‘for propaganda purposes and serves no good interest’.
