Security leaves Dr Lam’s house

Author : | Published: Tuesday, May 5, 2015

Opposition leader Dr Lam Akol says security personnel who were deployed at his house in Juba more than a week ago have pulled out.

The security took positions around the house and restricted visits for about eight days.

Dr Lam told Eye Radio that they left the house over the weekend.

“They lifted the cordon or Saturday and they told me that there was misunderstanding, but they didn’t go deep to give me clear information,” said Dr Lam.

“But the baffling thing is that they thought that this misunderstanding is from their side. They think that the security personnel have been behaving in their own way.”

At the time of deployment, government officials denied the presence of any forces.
