Gunshots were heard at the Checkpoint on Juba-Yei road last night.
The shootout lasted several hours before it subsided this morning at around 6 o’clock. It’s unclear who was fighting who.
Speaking to Eye Radio this morning, the SPLA spokesperson Brigadier Lul Ruai Koang, confirmed the gunfire, but said he had scanty details of the incident.
He said the army would investigate the matter.
