Security situation is stable all over the country with exception of few incidents that occurred earlier this week, the government has said.

On Tuesday night, there were random gunshots in Gudele suburb and around Jebel Market in Juba.

The Deputy Minister of Information, Rachel Nyadak, was addressing the media after the council of Ministers’ meeting in Juba this afternoon.

“Yesterday and the day before yesterday, there was an exchange of fire in Juba with a criminal which was minor and [he] was arrested by the security.”

“Generally, security in the country is stable in the states as well as in the capital Juba.”

Madam Nyadak said the council has urged the Minister of Interior and the Minister of Defense to strengthen security all over the country.
