Lake state Information minister says the road network linking Yirol and Rumbek that was destroyed last week due to flood water has been fixed.

Last week, the movement of vehicles between the two areas was hampered due to the bad road conditions.

The stalemate prompted the African Resource Construction Company, ARC to intervene and upgrade the road.

Speaking to Eye Radio in an inclusive interview Tuesday morning, Paul Chabiet Ayang said, the road was back to use.

“Last week,  the road between Yirol and Rumbek became impassable, but the ARC leadership went there and put some marram there, people were unable to move because there was too much water.

“But now cars and people are able to move after ARC fixed the road. It was very bad, but now it has been fixed and the movement is a bit fine,” he said.
