Rapists’ actions are premeditated, not because the rape victim was indecently dressed, according to the deputy police spokesperson.

Brigadier General James Dak says rapists commit rape with intentions and this should not be blamed on those with indecent dresses.

Brg. Gen. Dak says it is all up in the mind while arguing that some tribes in South Sudan live naked and men don’t rape them in the community.

“I disagree with the notion that indecent dress is a reason to commit rape because a rapist must have the intention of criminal act not because the woman has put on the indecent dress,” said Dak.

“There are some tribes where women walk naked, and their men sleep around them and they never rape them,” he said.

“If the conscious doesn’t tell you that you should have sex with her, you will sleep until morning without bothering her. So, indecent dress is not a problem and this shouldn’t be an excuse to commit rape.”
