Donations for SPLA Soldiers

SPLA soldiers display weapons during the 2nd Independence Day Anniversary in Juba - July 9, 2013

Northern Bahr El-Ghazal State has set up a committee to collect donations of food items for the army, the State Minister of Information has told Eye Radio.

Last week, the director general of the SPLA Medical Corps, Major-General Dr. Dau Aleu, said about 1,000 SPLA soldiers have been wounded in the recent fighting.

He said they were mainly from the states of Jonglei, Upper Nile and Unity, in addition to those wounded in the early clashes that erupted in Juba.
