The US Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan is urging the people of South Sudan to coexist and work towards achieving peace in their country.

In an exclusive interview with Eye Radio, the Special Envoy said that it is only through unity that the people of South Sudan can achieve peace.

“I urge all South Sudanese to approach their brothers and neighbors as their fellow countrymen, their friends and to bring about an end to the violence here in South Sudan so that the country can begin to move forward again and its economic development and for the benefit of all the people of South Sudan and in particular for the better future for their children,” Mr Booth said.

Donald Booth said that he will continue to engage with the government and the rebels to ensure that they work for peace and end the violence in South Sudan.
