Three Commisioners and Mayor sacked-WBG

The Governor of Western Bahr El-Ghazal State, Rizik Zakaria Hassan, has relieved three Commissioners, the Mayor of Wau Municipality and his deputy from their duties.

The reasons for their dismissal of the state officials were not mention in the decree, which was issued in Wau yesterday.

Those sacked are: the Commissioner of Wau County, Angelo Taban Biajo, the Commissioner of Raja County, Hassan Khamis Jalab, the Commissioner of Jur River County, John Arop Apia and Mayor of Wau Municipality, Arkangelo Anyar, Anyar.

The newly appointed commissioners are Simon Athuia for Jur River County, James Benjamin Mardama Bubu for Raja County and Elia Kamilio Dimo for Wau County.

Governor Rizik also appointed his former advisor, Livio Buhara as a new Mayor for Wau municipality, while the deputy Mayor, Anthony Charles Ngberende has been replaced by Santino Manut Akot.

The decree which was issued on Saturday also divided the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture into two ministries.

The Ministry of Sports, Youth and Culture and the Ministry of Childs’ Right, Women and Social Welfare and Development. The Ministers for the two ministries are not yet named.
