The Deputy Chief Administrator of Greater Pibor Administrative Area is urging youth in the restive region to desist from violence and embrace peace with their neighbors.

John Abula said the youth should focus on improving their abilities to better their lives.

The administrative official said he is concerned about the recurrent violence between the local youth and the neighboring communities.

Speaking to Eye Radio yesterday, he said he is sad to see young people dying from violence everyday.

“Let the youth leave the past and begin with new things that will improve their lives instead of fighting themselves and killing one another, We are not happy to see our young men dying every day.”

Abula added that there is relative calm in the region, and calls on the youth to embark on peace and reconciliation.
