An investigation committee says it’s reading the report of its findings into two government ministers suspended for their alleged involvement in corrupt practices.

In June, President Salva Kiir suspended Kosti Manibe as the Minister of Finance and Deng Alor as the Minister of Cabinet Affairs over the alleged approval of a 7.8 million dollar payment from public funds without the knowledge of state institutions.

President Kiir lifted their immunities and formed the investigation committee headed by the chairperson of anti-corruption, John Gatwec Lul, to investigate the two ministers and report the findings to him within sixty days.

“The condition was that we were to finish the investigation within sixty working days, but in fact we still have more days ahead of us up to now we have something like twenty days ahead of us, but we are not going to wait until when sixty days are over,” Justice Lul told Eye Radio.

“We are going to present our report may be within the middle of next week.”

Justice Gatwec said after President Salva Kiir receives the report; he will review the findings before making them public.

The two former ministers were allegedly involved of authorizing request and transfer of the sum to a company known as Daffy Investment Limited.
