Of these, 200 students will enroll for under graduate diploma programs and the other 50 will be for bachelor degree courses.

The chairperson of the Selection Committee, Caguor Adong Manyang, says the students were selected from all the ten states and others from Egypt, after interviews.

He says about 856 students had applied for the scholarships; with 661 applicants from the ten states and 195 others from Egypt.

“These 50 bachelor degree course are meant only for sciences,” Mr Caguor said, “whereas 200 scholarships meant for diploma programs are for both sciences and arts.”

Mr Caguor says female students were given special consideration in the selection process.
He says the selected students will go to Egypt when the ministry has received a notification from the Egyptian government.
