A woman in Warrap State has been arrested in connection with the killing of a butcher early this week.

The Criminal Investigation Department Office of Twic County says it has arrested a woman who is suspected of killing a butcher in Turalei.

A C-I-D First Lieutenant, James Thiep Matiel, says the woman had fought with the deceased over prices of meat at the butchery earlier this week.

Thiep quoted an eyewitness as saying that the woman had thrown the 20-year-old man onto stone.

James Thiep says when colleagues of the diseased went to the market in the morning; they found their colleague dead in Turalei market.

He says the body was found where he had fought with the woman on Monday evening.

The officer says they have investigated the woman and she denied killing the butcher whose identity was not revealed.

Thiep says the C-I-D is waiting for doctors to carry out medical examination on the body of the diseased.

He urged the family of the deceased to allow the authorities to carry out their investigations without interruptions.
