Butchers have stopped selling meat in Wau town in a strike against the state government efforts to control market prices.
Last week, the town mayor directed the butchers to reduce the price of a kilogram of meat from 200 to 50 pounds.
“Today, the butchers decided to shut down the butcheries and now there is no meat in Wau market,” reported Eye Radio’s Deng Dimo.
