The County Commissioner of Western Bahr el Ghazal has said that an unknown disease is spreading among children in Raja County.

“Local doctors are unable to identify it,” Mr. Hassan Jalab told Eye Radio.

“This disease starts with a fever and then the patient’s legs start shaking and the eyes roll up in the head for a while.

“The Doctor said this disease has increased here and that is why he wants a medical team to come and carry out a research to identify the disease which is affecting the children.”

Commissioner Jalab said that the state health minister has been alerted about the outbreak.
