South Sudan U-17 national football team was beaten 4-1 by Uganda on Thursday in the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers at Abebe Bikila Stadium, Ethiopia.

Uganda cubs have now sealed a place into the semifinals after defeating South Sudan on Thursday at the ongoing U-17 qualifiers competition in Ethiopia.

They also made a perfect start to the tournament by defeating Burundi 4-0 two days ago.

South Sudan is in group B alongside Burundi and Uganda, while the other group (A) has hosts Ethiopia, Somalia, and Tanzania.

The Qualifiers for the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations took a awkward twist on Saturday after the disqualification of two teams due to age cheating.

Sudan and Djibouti were sent packing after failure to pass the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans.
