Author : | Published: Thursday, September 25, 2014

Authorities in Twic East of Jonglei State say two thousand children who are at risk of malnutrition have been registered by the county administration.

These children are from the five payams of Twic East: Pakeer, Ajoung, Nyuak, Kongor and Lith.

The county disease surveillance officer, Chol Majok Chol, says three severely malnourished children have been admitted into the county hospital but no medicine available due to poor roads linking the area with Juba.

He says the situation of the two thousand children is terrible.
