Author : | Published: Tuesday, June 7, 2016

The Governor of Terekeka State, Juma Ali Malou, has appointed his new deputy and the state Minister of Information.

Former officials who were in the positions resigned last month over administrative issues and alleged corruption, which officials close to the state governor have denied.

On Monday, Governor Juma Ali officially relieved his former deputy Clement Maring and former Information Minister Modi Lomindi.

He then issued another decree relieving Valentino Kenyi Pitia as Commissioner General of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, and appointed him in a separate decree as the Deputy Governor.

In a separate development, Governor Malou also appointed Nadia James Hakim as Chief Whip in the state legislative assembly.

All the decrees are said to have come into effect as from Monday.
