The three groups of the SPLM are in South Africa to discuss the remaining issues about the reunification of the party.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the SPLM, the SPLM in Opposition and the Former Detainees will start the discussions in Pretoria today.

Spokesman Ambassador Mawien Makol told Eye Radio that the Minister of Electricity, Jemma Nunu Kumba, is leading the SPLM team from Juba.

Information Minister Michael Makuei, said the meeting is a follow-up on the Arusha discussions. “It is not a new initiative, but rather a follow-up on the Arusha discussion, so the meeting will kick off soon,” he told Radio Tamazuj.

In January, the three SPLMs reached an agreement on the reunification of the party but the deal has not been fully implemented.
