Other senior positions include the Deputy Inspector General of the Police and eight positions in both Internal and External Security Bureaus.

“In the army in particular, the opposition has five positions. One, is the Inspector General of the Army, two, is the Deputy CDF, three, is the assistant CDF for Logistics, four, is the Assistant CDF for Moral Orientation, five is the Commander for the Riverine,” Abucha told Eye Radio.

“In the National Security, we have eight positions, five in the Internal Security Bureau and then three in the External Security Bureau.

“In the police we have five positions, Deputy Inspector General, Director for Social Services, Director for Training, Director for Traffic and Director for Medical Services.”

The peace parties reached the deal to end the stalemate over the command structure of the unified forces on Sunday.

The agreement was reached after the Sudanese mediation team headed by General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo submitted a proposal to end the deadlock on the critical part of the security arrangement.

On Wednesday, the SPLM-IO said it will submit the list of security officials slated for appointment in the unified command structure this week.

Puok Both Baluang who is the acting Press Secretary in the office of the FVP said Dr. Riek Machar is consulting with his security command before providing a list for appointment by the president.
