More than 500 organized forces have been deployed in Northern Bahr el Ghazal this festive season.

The State Police Commissioner Major General Philip Madut Tong on Thursday told about 5 hundred 23 organized forces in Aweil town to create a safe environment for the citizens.

He says the joint operation has been deployed to the State Capital Aweil with several others in other towns, residential areas, highways, and entry points.

In addition, the Police Commissioner says Traffic Police have been deployed in the towns and highways to manage the movement of vehicles.

“The joint forces are ready to secure the celebration of the Christmas festival, we assure you that we are ready to do that for the security of the citizens and their properties,” said Gen. Madut.

“Our forces will do their best starting from today [Friday] onward will be responsible for the security of the entire state,” he said.

“We have responded to the appeal of the governor that we have to work hard toward the security of our citizens in the state, so our joint forces in the state are ready.”
