Author : | Published: Tuesday, February 17, 2015

The National ministry of Education, Science and Technology is working to assess the education sector in Yei River County of central Equatoria State.

The county’s Education Director, Philip Taban, told Eye Radio that the assessment will help the ministry to plan and improve the quality of education.

He said: “This exercise is very important because they want to know how many schools we have, how many classes we have, how many teachers we have and other infrastructure and activities in the schools. Because when they are planning, they will go through our records and plan well”.

Taban says there are 120 primary, 64 nursery schools and 20 secondary schools in the county.
