A new airstrip has been launched in Torit, Eastern Equatoria State.

The state Minister of Physical infrastructure, Hassan Urbano at Opulari said the ministry constructed the new airstrip because the old one has been turned into a grazing land.

“This place is Torit international airport but we as a state are planning that at least we should have Torit airstrip.” He said.

Urbano said once the construction of the new Airstrip is done, it can be used for international landing.
