The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State has issued a decree dismissing the Area Chief Administrator of Lafon Corridor in Lopa/Lafon County.

Louis Lobong Lojore relieved Mathew Ugwak Ukidi from the position and in a separate decree appointed Thomas Udwar  Augustino as the new Area Chief Administrator.

Early last month, the youth of Lafon Corridor petitioned the state governor to remove Mr. Mathew Ugwak from the position, accusing him of corruption. Mr. Ugwak denied the allegations.

But Governor Lobong formed a committee to investigate the allegations.

The findings of the committee are yet to be made public.
