CNPC signs a pact to donate 50,000 text books

The Chinese National Petroleum Company has signed an agreement to donate fifty thousand text books to the National Ministry of Education.

The books are meant to help children in the areas affected by the current crisis.

The undersecretary in the Ministry of Education, Michael Lopuke said during the signing ceremony that the books will be for South Sudanese syllabus.

“The text books are going to be reprinted in three stages and the total amounts of books are fifty thousand text books. This are the material that have been developed by the ministry, and much of the books will be going to Upper Nile State and some few be also be given to children in Central Equatoria.” Makueng said.

The Chinese Company’s Country Manager, Jia Yong said his company is committed to give more supports to education sector in the country.

“We shall have another two phases of text book donation in Unity State and also in Juba.” He said.
