Highway Patrols

The Ministry of Interior says it has deployed security forces along the Juba Nimule and Juba – Torit roads. Police spokesman, Colonel James Monday Enoka, told Eye Radio that they are working to secure the road. Last week, one person was killed when a government car carrying examinations papers was ambushed on the Juba – Torit road.

Two other truck drivers were shot dead by bandits on the Nimule highway road as they brought goods into Juba. The highway is also use by traders, including UN agencies, international organizations and mission staffs.
