Why the gov’t needs a Leadership Council – Dr. Lam

Author : | Published: Tuesday, May 17, 2016

The Democratic Change Party has says that the parties in the national unity government should urgently form a leadership council to address crucial issues in the country.

He suggested that the council should be a substitute to the Council of Ministers, to deal with more urgent issues like rampant insecurity in the country.

“In coalition governments, things are not decided in the council of ministers all of them. There is always a coordinating body, a leadership body that addresses some of the thorny issues,” said Dr Lam Akol, the leader of the Democratic Change Party, also the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

“So we must quickly establish that body between the leaders of the four parties in the Transitional Government of National Unity so that we address all these concerns”.
