Yei Electric Corporation may stop supplying electricity soon due to shortage of diesel, an official has said.

YECO is the main supplier of electricity in Yei town and some of its neighboring areas.

“Currently, we are running short of fuel reserve. At the moment we have 12,000 litters and that of course will go for six days,” said Malish Lawrence, manager.

“If we don’t get fuel within the shortest time possible, we shall be forced to shut down.”

Hass is the only fuel station in Yei town. But it has no diesel.
