Singer DJ Cent on Friday revealed he has lost his passport and appealed to the government to help him renew it in time for his anticipated India concert.

The singer took to social media to call for a solution as he risks missing out on the music tour.

His statement comes days after the Department of Civil Registry, Passports, and Immigration announced it has run out of passport booklets.

“No passport in the country (crying emojis). Since I lost it (passport), it’s hard to get another one,” Cent posted on his official Facebook page.

“We got the cash for it but it’s not available. Somebody helps me out. Let me not miss traveling for my music tour in India.”

The singer adds: “I need some help from My Government I’m going to represent our country.”

On June 4, Col. Johnny Buol, Director for Moral Orientation and Information and Public Relations, DCR, NPI said the government is struggling to issue passports due to an acute shortage of booklets.

Col. Buol said the situation resulted from the government’s failure to pay for the arrears of the German passport company Muhlbauer.

“I would like to inform our citizens that the directories have some challenges from this month the issues of shortages of passport booklet,” he said at a news conference in Juba.

“As we know passport booklet is brought from Germany through, the Muhlbauer company, and this company is demanding some arrest of 1.7 million dollars as we pay the money we shall receive 212000 booklets within one week.”
