The Ministry of Defense says it has started phasing child soldiers out of the country’s armed forces.

Defense Minister, Kuol Manyang Juuk, told Turkish News Agency yesterday that they have already formed a committee to identify the children for screening out.

He says the committee is working with the S-P-L-A and the different armed militias that were incorporated into the government forces.

Minister Juuk denied that there were any children within the ranks of the SPLA.
