Students who have sought refuge in Central Equatoria will be allowed to sit the Primary Leaving Certificate Examinations.

The Central Equatoria state Minister of Education said students from Lirya and Mangala Payams will also sit their exams in Juba.

Minister Hastin Yokwe told journalist in Juba that the capital will be the main examination center for the displaced.

“I am informing all students who might be outside Juba to come to Juba and prepare for the exams. We decided that the exams will take place on the 13th of this month so that we make the necessary consultations and preparations,” Mr. Yokwe said.

Mr. Yokwe said students within UNMISS compounds will have a chance to sit the Primary Leaving Exams.

He urged those students in Juba to report to the state Ministry of education this Friday for registration and  to confirm their examination center.

More than 4,800 students have registered for the Primary Leaving Certificate Examinations.

The Primary Leaving Certificate Examination was supposed to take place in Juba on 16th of December.
