Juba expects medical docs from the Arab League

A team of doctors from the Arab League are expected in Juba this month to offer operation and training assistance to doctors in this country.

The team, which will arrive on 20th October, will include gynecologists and eye specialists.

Speaking to Eye Radio, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Ambassador Mawen Makol said the doctors are expected to offer technical assistance:

“The minister of foreign affairs met with the representative of the Arab League in Juba yesterday and he disclosed that medical doctors will come through an invitation from the government of South Sudan in order to help with the many disease outbreaks we are facing.”

The Arab League representative, Ambassador Mohamed Monsef, told the government that scholarship programs for South Sudanese will be increased to Arab League nations.
