A peace conference to reconcile cattle keepers and farmers in four states will be held in Mundri West County this month.

The states include Lakes, Jonglei, Western and Central Equatoria.

The member of National Parliament, Joseph Ngere, told Eye Radio that the conference is funded by the office of the president.

“…participants to be in conference will come from the four states. Lakes state’s deputy governor will be coming plus the four commissioners of Wolo, Yirol West, Awerel and Rombek East, the central Equatoria will be representative by the commissioner of Terkeka.” He said.

Farmers in Western Equatoria and cattle keepers from Lakes, Jonglei and Central Equatoria have been clashing over pastures and water in the area.
