At least nine people have been killed and eight others injured in Twic County of Warrap State in an attack by armed group believed to be from neighboring Unity State. 

County Commissioner Biar Biar Ring told Eye Radio that the attack took place on Saturday.

“The death toll is nine – two women, three boys and four people from the army,” he said.

“These five civilian were killed when the attackers raided the cattle camp and the four soldiers were killed in fighting where they managed to rescue the cattle.”

Mr. Biar Ring appeal to the National government to provide protection to the people in his County.

“The national government should provide us with protection by adding more forces in the area between us and Unity State to control the criminals who use to come from that area.”
