More than seven people have been killed in communal clashes that started over the weekend in Tonj South County, Warrap State.

The fighting was caused by a piece of land. Each side claims ownership.

“It has claimed the lives of seven innocent citizens which would have not been loss if the ignorance of our people were not exercised at that time,” Paul Dhel, Minister of Information, told Eye Radio.

He added that security forces have been deployed to the area to stop the fighting.
