Police have discovered two dead bodies dumbed along the Yei-Juba Bridge, Yei River State.

The dead include a woman and a child.

On Tuesday, two civilians were reported missing. There are also reports suggesting that several civilians have fled the town due to rampant insecurity.

Yei State Information Minister Stephen Ladu told Eye Radio that those killed were kidnapped from their homes at Mahad residential area.

“They were killed using pangas. The bodies were mutilated,” Mr Ladu said.

“This act is really not acceptable and we as a state condemned it because it is an act against humanity by the criminals.”

He says the state government has formed a committee to investigate the incident.

Meanwhile, two family members of those killed are also missing, according to the police.
