The Presidential Envoy to the former Greater Pibor Administrative Area says David Yau Yau has now accepted the governor of the new Boma State.

Mr Yau Yau was the leader of the administration but it was combined with Pochalla to form Boma State.

Akot Luah says the government had agreed with Yau Yau during the creation of new states that one of the four created from Jonglei would be led by the Cobra Faction.

Yau Yau had wanted this implemented.

But Mr Akot says  Yau Yau has accepted to remain in the army, where he is a general, and work with the new leadership of Boma State.
