The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the withdrawal of Ugandan forces from South Sudan requires another agreement between the two countries.
Ambassador Mawien Makol, says the Ugandan troops are in South Sudan based on the agreement between the two countries.
He says Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is free to withdraw his troop from South Sudan any time.
“…they are here on our agreement, and so any evacuation from here would also require another agreement with us, and Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni of course has absolute decision to whether he can seize this time to take that process.” He said.
Makol says if the U-P-D-F withdraws from South Sudan, there will be no vacuum, because the government of South Sudan will have an alternative measure to fill in the gap that will be left by the Ugandan troops.
