Street children in an orphanage in Turalei, Warrap state, are deserting the care center due to lack of enough beds and mosquito nets.

Some of the children from the Street Children Company, in Turalei have reportedly gone back to sleep in the streets.

One of the street boys, Deng Wol, told Eye Radio that some of them have been exposed to diseases –mostly malaria because of sleeping in wet places.

The Deputy Head teacher of Street Children Company, Michael Chol Ajiing says they have sixty children in their compound, but they do not have enough shelter, mosquito nets, or mats for them.

He appeals to well-wishers and Non-governmental organizations to assist.

The Street Children Company was opened in June, 2012.
