The SPLA says the SPLM in Opposition forces shelled Bentiu, the capital of Unity state, yesterday.
Army spokesperson Colonel Philip Aguer told Eye Radio that one person was wounded in the shelling.
“This is the incident that took place yesterday at 4:00 PM. We need to confirm whether [the wounded was] a civilian or a military,” said Col Aguer.
He said the SPLM in Opposition forces also attacked government positions in Ayod County in Jonglei State on Monday.
The SPLM- in Opposition did not comment on the two incidents.
