South Sudan marks IWD

South Sudan is marking the International Women’s Day today.

In marking the day, the women of the Episcopal Church of Sudan and South Sudan are calling for the implementation of the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement.

They also urge the warring parties to facilitate humanitarian assistance to all the areas affected by the conflict.

The women also condemned tribalism and urge all the women of South Sudan to forge a common agenda for peace.

The International Women’s Day is marked every year to celebrated achievements of women while calling for greater equality.

The theme for this year is: Make it Happen.
