South Sudan to allegedly increase its oil exports

Media reports indicate that South Sudan will increase its crude oil exports from 4.6 million barrels to 4.8 in February.

The consignment will be from the Dar Blend produced in Upper Nile State.

Traders close to the South Sudan oil deals say that eight cargoes are scheduled for lifting in February.

The traders say this represents a rise of four percent compared to the consignments of this month.

Traders say the China National Petroleum Corporation has issued a tender offering the first cargo of 600,000 barrels for loading. The tender closed yesterday.

The increase in the export comes as prices of oil drop below 50 US dollars in the world market.
