S. Sudanese university students in Rwanda told to focus on their studies

A delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Technology who visited Rwanda this week encouraged South Sudanese university students to prioritize their studies while in Rwanda.

According to a representative of South Sudanese students at Kigali Independent University, Ruot Deng, the delegation was led by the Director General at the Ministry of Higher Education and Technology Dr Justo Wani Jada.

He says the delegates expressed their appreciation to the Kigali Independent University (ULK) and UPI Institute family for hosting South Sudanese students.

The students’ representative who welcomed the delegates stated that Dr Wani and his team were received by the Founder and President of ULK and UPI Institute, Dr Rwigmba Balinda, the Vice Chancellor of ULK, Prof. Dr Nkundabatware Innocent among many others.

The Founder and President of ULK and UPI also commended the South Sudanese students for selecting ULK and UPI as their preferred institutions for education.

The delegation visited students after signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on advancing education between South Sudan and Rwanda.
