President Salva Kiir has received the final Report on the disputed areas with Sudan.

The team has prepared its final report, which covers all the five disputed areas on the border with Sudan, and presented it to the President.

The team of negotiators on border issues led by Michael Makuei, briefed President Kiir on the progress made in the negotiations on the disputed areas on the border with Sudan.

The team has left for Addis Ababa today to make its presentations to the African Union team.

“After the presentation of the report to the African Union Team of Experts, the experts will prepare their non-binding opinion and present it to the parties for further negotiations,” said Hon. Makuei.

The report covers Kafia Kingi, Heglig/Panthou, Abyei, Kaka Tigaria and Magenas.
